My Experience Using Canon Lenses on a Sony Camera

As I’ve been experimenting with different mirrorless camera options from Sony, like the a7S ii & a7R ii, I’ve tried using both native Sony lenses and adapting Canon lenses to them.

I’ve had a less than stellar experience using Canon glass on Sony bodies, so I wanted to share a little bit about what you can expect if you’re trying to make the switch to Sony from Canon and plan to bring a bunch of EF or EF-S lenses along with you for the ride.

In this video I explain which of the many adapters I recommend getting, my experience with the speed and reliability of auto-focus in both photo and video mode, and whether I even recommend keeping your Canon lenses when you make a switch to mirrorless cameras.

Special thanks to B&H for loaning me the a7R ii to use and be on the lookout for my full review next week.
